This is in Egypt- my father served there in World War 2. He was only 18. He lied about is age so he could leave University and enlist in the army. The Bren carrier he was in ran over a mine and blew up. He damaged his feet and was shipped back to New Zealand on the hospital ship. He went into Auckland hospital where he met my mother who was nursing there- they settled in Elstow which is near Te Aroha and had 7 children- 2 boys and 5 girls. And so the story began. Mrs Wilson
